Wow.
The sound we naturally make when we experience something remarkable. The sound we make when language is too limited to describe what we’re experiencing.
We were created to be left speechless.
But our modern world has sold the lie that everything can be explained.
The endless search for explanation has left us with the ability to know everything…yet stand in awe of nothing.
But, “When I behold the heavens, the work of your fingers,
The moon and stars which you have fashioned––
Who are we that you are mindful of us?
Humanity that you should think of us?”
(Psalm 8:3-5)
For, “Many things have you done, O LORD my God,
Specially your wondrous works and thoughts toward me.
If I dared declare and speak of them,
There are more than can be told.
There is none that compares to you.”
(Psalm 40:6)
O, how we are fearfully, and marvelously made!
(Psalm 139:14)
So, “Come! Come and behold the works of God,
The mysteries of His dealings with the universe.
(Psalm 66:5)
It’s time — time to reawaken to the innocence buried deep within us.
Time to step into a world exploding in the color of the gospel.
It’s time…to return to wonder.
